Chased By Wolves

A couple of weeks ago I ended up huddled in a cramped sweaty Kitchen in Heaton, Newcastle clutching a bottle of wine and a plastic cup, very excited about the imminent arrival of a North East band I've wanted to see for ages.

The band was Chased by Wolves, and they are incredible. Like the last post, I'm not going to go into the specifics because as Elvis Costello said, "Writing about music is like dancing to architecture."

But if you like heartbreak songs sung in a heartbreaking voice, then you may just have found your new favourite band

Ben Gross- The Year

In January Manchester photographer and designer Ben Gross decided to document his day to day life from a point of view perspective. He has since posted an image a online everyday since the new year.
Using his iphone's hipstamatic app Ben has created a beautiful archive of images which celebrates the ubsurd and the beautiful in the seemingly mundane.
Rather than talk about the "flawless composition" or the photographer having a "meticulous eye for capturing the poetry of day to day life" (all true of course) I thought it best to let the images speak for themselves. Enjoy.
